Some more useful information from Presto Lifts. When installing a lift in a work cell or station, Pit Mounting is the best option. After lowering the lift, it is out of the way and the area is free to use. To allow fork truck traffic you can add the optional “roll over” package to increase stability and rigidity to the unit. Platforms and turntables can be sized to the load, helping to decrease the ergonomic issue or “reach over”. Pit mounted lifts can be loaded or unloaded with a hand pallet truck, reducing the need for a forklift or ramps. Presto Lifts adheres to the ANSI MH 29.1 code which requires some form of toe protection as the lift platform descends into the pit. Shown here: Bevel Toe Guards.
