Metalware Hi-Rise Shelving

Using Metalware’s standard components you can quickly and economically design a Hi-Rise shelving system to meet your needs. This application was at a national auto parts distribution center. Man aboard lift trucks are used to pick the auto parts.


250 Sections 24” x 36” x 18’-4”, 16 shelves per section, open style shelving with solid row ends. That’s 3,750 shelf openings to pick from, and if you include the top shelf (canopy), the number of  picking locations rises to 4,000.




Here is the empty space where the Metalware Shelving will be installed. The distribution center was replacing outdated picking methods with more efficient, cost effective methods.






   
  

Installers like to work with Metalware Shelving, the compression fit of the shelf clip holds the units together allowing for much quicker and efficient installations. The solid panels are used on the ends of each row to help prevent falling objects into aisle ways where they may cause injury.


  

Standard components are used to create Top-Ties when the height to width ratio gets too high. Above is detail of a Metalware Shelving Top Tie. Simple and quick to install, saving time on the installation.
