With the Hawkeye 1200C you can instantly measure the weight, dimensions and volume of any case up to 24” x 24” x 24” and 150 lb. All the operator has to do is position the case on the scale - the Hawkeye 1200C does the rest by calculating weight, height, width, depth, and volume and displaying the results on its bright LCD display.
The Hawkeye 1200C is designed to be used as a stand-alone cubing scale, or as an integral part of a users’ data collection system. The scale is manufactured by Doran Scales, an ISO 9000 certified and leading manufacturer of scales. The software is from Epic Group, a leading GS1 - GDSN certified software developer and Microsoft Certified Partner. The result is a unique system consisting of the Hawkeye 1200C and the Perfect Measure™ Software that gives you the ultimate solution for cubing applications, built to withstand the rigors of an industrial environment, while providing data you need. Hawkeye 1200C Technology
The Hawkeye 1200C’s unique cubing scale design includes a passive optical measurement system, photo cell technology is tried and true, and movement and noise will not impact its accuracy, providing measurement accuracy of +/- 0.1”. Useable in most any light conditions, the display is readable up to 15 feet away, and the intuitive design assures that minimal operator training is required. The Hawkeye 1200C will enable users to be able to efficiently capture shipping revenues they may have missed in the past - billing cases by cubic volume as well as weight will allow users a fast pay-back on their Hawkeye Perfect Measure System investment.

1. Place the case to be measured into the corner of the Hawkeye scale.

2.In less than a second, the display will include:

The display data is held until the case is removed from the scale. The top line of the display alternates between weight and volume after case weight and size is acquired

3.Data is automatically exported from the Hawkeye 1200C to the Perfect Measure™ Software.
Data Synchronization (GDSN/GS1 Protocol)
Retailers demand that their suppliers provide the size, volume and weight of cased commodities to allow for adequate shipping, storage & shelf space allocation. Accurate measurements of case item are essential to avoid costly space allocation problems. In concert with Hawkeye 1200C’s precise measuring capability, Epic’s Perfect measure™ Software program provides a link to the Global Data Sync Network (GDSN), a global depository of Dim-Weight information for all commodities that is required by major retailers and buying groups.
The Perfect Measure™ Software is the ideal solution as it makes supplier’s compliance with GDSN standards a snap, without the need for training in the standards themselves. Epic’s software accepts the Hawkeye 1200C’s Dim-Weight data and converts it to GDSN compliant data automatically, since the software program incorporates complex GDSN standards in its design.
The Hawkeye 1200C coupled with Epic’s Perfect Measure™ Software is the warehouse manager’s dream for the most accurate weight and dimension possible. Using Epic’s Perfect measure™ Software, a retailer or carrier can rest assured that the Dim-Weights have come from a device with perfect measuring capability, moving both data and products where they need to be, on time, and at the right price.
Transportation & Material Handling Services
Weight has never been the sole criteria for calculating shipping charges. Package size is also key to determining shipment costs. Calculation of freight costs by carriers is called Dim-Weight which is calculated fast and accurately with the Hawkeye 1200C. This enables major shippers to calculate proper shipping costs for large dimension items, and to forecast truck and plane volume needs ahead of time, before a costly error is made.
Traffic managers are now aware of Dim-Weight charges since they receive quarterly invoices from their carriers for those packages or shipments that exceed historical weight only specs. So, along with weight (w), the cost of shipping and warehousing must now consider length/depth (x), height (y), and width (z). The Dim-Weight criteria, w-x-y-z, is carrying over into warehousing to include specifying box, pallet, and even container-size dimensions.
Epic’s Perfect Measure™ Software not only receives accurate measurements from Doran’s 1200C, but it also calculates the Dim-Weight to each carrier’s specification providing the basis for calculating an accurate shipping cost.
